While the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 series captured much of the attention during Apple’s recent “Awe dropping” event, the complete refresh of the Apple Watch lineup represents a major leap forward for wearable technology. The new Apple Watch SE 3, Series 11, and Ultra 3 are now available for preorder, each bringing substantial upgrades in performance, health tracking, and connectivity. Shipping begins on September 19, with prices starting at $249 for the SE 3, $399 for the Series 11, and $799 for the Ultra 3.

All three models debut with watchOS 26, featuring the new Liquid Glass interface and an AI-powered Workout Buddy designed to motivate users during exercise. A simple upward flick of the wrist now clears notifications, streamlining the user experience. The update will also roll out to older compatible models, including Series 6, SE 2, and Ultra, on September 15.

The Apple Watch SE 3 marks the first update to Apple’s entry-level wearable since 2022. It shares the same S10 chip as its higher-end siblings and introduces an always-on display that’s four times more scratch resistant than before. New health features include Sleep Score, which analyzes sleep stages to provide an overall quality rating, and sleep apnea detection. Charging is twice as fast, delivering eight hours of use from just 15 minutes of charging. For the first time, the cellular variant supports 5G connectivity and includes on-device Siri for offline use.

Available in 42mm and 44mm sizes, the SE 3 starts at $249 for the GPS model, with cellular versions priced at $299 and $329 respectively. Preorders are open directly through Apple, where customers can select size, color, and connectivity options.

The Apple Watch Series 11 may resemble its predecessor but includes meaningful internal upgrades. It now features a 5G cellular modem, more durable glass, and an advanced heart rate sensor capable of detecting hypertension by monitoring blood flow. This feature, pending FDA clearance, will also come to Series 9 and Ultra 2 via software update. Battery life improves to 24 hours, and the new Sleep Score functionality is also supported.

Offered in 42mm and 46mm case sizes, the Series 11 starts at $399 for the GPS model. Cellular versions are priced at $429 and $529 depending on size. Apple’s preorder page allows customization of size, color, band, and connectivity.

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 stands out with a larger wide-angle OLED display that adjusts its refresh rate down to 1Hz for better responsiveness. Though the case remains 49mm, reduced bezels make the screen more immersive. Battery life reaches 48 hours on a single charge, and it includes 5G support along with new satellite texting capabilities for use in areas without cellular or Wi-Fi.

Priced at $799, the Ultra 3 is available for preorder through Apple in a single 49mm size. Early hands-on impressions suggest a noticeable improvement in display quality and rugged performance, with full reviews expected soon.
