The Acer Aspire 14 AI is my top pick for a budget-friendly Windows laptop and the best MacBook Neo alternative I’ve tested so far. While I haven’t personally reviewed this 14-inch model, CNET praised its impressive battery life, smooth mechanical trackpad, and solid port selection, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports. (Mashable and CNET are both owned by Ziff Davis.) At $479.99 for Prime Day, it’s significantly cheaper than the base MacBook Neo, now $699. Apple’s option has better build quality but only half the RAM and storage.
