OnePlus has unveiled its latest flagship tablet, the Pad 3, marking the company’s first global release featuring Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This premium Android tablet boasts significant upgrades over its predecessor, including a spacious 13.2-inch LCD display with 3.4K resolution and buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, wrapped in an ultra-slim 5.97mm chassis that’s thinner than Apple’s current iPad Air.
While the larger screen adds slight bulk compared to the Pad 2, the 12,140mAh battery ensures extended use, complemented by 80W fast charging that juices up the device in roughly 90 minutes. Performance gets a major boost from the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB RAM (expandable to 16GB in Europe) and 256GB storage. OnePlus also refined the design, swapping the previous circular camera for a discreet pill-shaped module in the corner.
Multitasking takes center stage with enhanced split-screen functionality and drag-and-drop features. For users invested in the OnePlus ecosystem, seamless file sharing and smart notification syncing between devices create a unified experience. The tablet can also intelligently tap into a paired phone’s mobile data without draining battery life like a constant hotspot.
O Plus Connect software bridges the gap between tablet and computer, enabling wireless file transfers with Windows PCs or Macs—the latter gaining the added perk of remote Mac control directly from the Pad 3. Though these features will eventually reach the Pad 2, the new model guarantees three OS updates and six years of security patches.
Available in Storm Blue, the Pad 3 starts at $699.99 for the 12GB variant, with European buyers having the option to upgrade to 16GB. The Smart Keyboard ($199.99) and Stylo 2 ($99.99) complete the productivity package, sold separately. Preorders are now open, with shipping timelines varying by region.
