Belkin has unveiled an upgraded version of its popular Nintendo Switch 2 carrying case, introducing a more convenient charging method and an integrated stand. The Charging Case Pro for Nintendo Switch 2 was announced at CES 2026, building on the foundation of the original model with key user-friendly improvements. While it retains the substantial 10,000mAh internal battery, the new design eliminates the need to open the case or use a short cable to recharge the battery pack.
A significant upgrade is the addition of an external USB-C port. This allows users to charge the case’s internal power bank while it remains fully zipped, a marked improvement in daily convenience. The exterior also features a small display that clearly shows the remaining battery life. Inside, the case has been rethought. The original version relied on the console’s built-in kickstand, but the Pro model incorporates its own adjustable stand directly into the redesigned battery unit. Placing the Switch 2 onto this stand automatically connects it to a USB-C port for charging, mimicking the seamless experience of docking the console.
Beyond charging, the case offers practical storage solutions. It includes a dedicated flap for holding game cartridges, a mesh pocket for cables or other small accessories, and a cleverly hidden compartment designed for Bluetooth trackers like an Apple AirTag or a Tile device. These enhancements come with a higher price tag. The original Belkin Charge Case launched in June for $69.99, while the new Pro version carries a $99.99 price point, reflecting its added functionality and refined design.
