A new desktop docking station from accessory maker Baseus aims to be a central hub for both power and connectivity, featuring a cleverly integrated 25W Qi2 wireless charging pad that rises from the top of the unit. This Spacemate RD1 Pro model is being showcased with an extensive selection of ports, designed to streamline a cluttered workspace by handling charging, data transfer, and display output from a single device.
Branded as a 15-in-1 docking station, the unit packs a significant number of physical connections. The assortment includes two HDMI ports, four USB-C ports, and four USB-A ports, alongside a 1Gbps Ethernet jack and both UHS-I SD and microSD card readers. The final tally arguably includes the prominent magnetic wireless charging surface, which utilizes the newer Qi2.2 standard for faster, more efficient power delivery.
For video output, the dock supports sending a 4K signal at 120Hz to a single monitor. If you’re connecting two displays, it can manage 4K resolution at 60Hz for each. The USB-C ports facilitate data transfers at speeds up to 10Gbps. On the power front, each USB-C PD port can deliver up to 100W for charging laptops, while the wireless charger provides 25W for compatible smartphones. The system has a maximum combined power output of 160W. Although marketed primarily for Windows users, the dock’s functionality extends to macOS and Linux systems as well.
Baseus has announced a price of $199.99 for the Spacemate RD1 Pro, with availability expected before the end of the month.
