This update strengthens the platform’s role as a comprehensive data protection asset for virtual, physical, cloud, and SaaS infrastructures.

A key focus of this release is broadening accessibility. The user interface now fully supports five additional languages: French, Italian, German, Polish, and Chinese. This multilingual support empowers users worldwide to manage backup, recovery, and resource automation in their preferred language, creating a more intuitive and efficient operational experience.

For users of Proxmox VE, version 11.1 delivers substantial upgrades. Businesses can now achieve a higher level of resilience without the need for costly infrastructure overhauls. The enhanced feature set includes Flash VM Boot for near-instant operational recovery, VM replication to ensure rapid failover, and the ability to back up and recover VM templates for consistent deployments. The platform also offers automated backup verification with detailed reports and screenshots, direct recovery from tape media, and log truncation for Exchange and SQL Server to optimize storage utilization.

A major advancement for service providers is the introduction of MSP Direct Connect. This new feature eliminates the previous requirement to open client-side firewall ports, establishing a more streamlined and secure connection model that significantly simplifies the onboarding and deployment process for new client environments. All communications are fully encrypted, and support now extends to cover Hyper-V and Proxmox VE environments alongside existing VMware and Windows/Linux systems, giving MSPs greater control over hybrid infrastructures.

The official release of Real-Time Replication for VMware represents another leap forward. This feature enables the continuous synchronization of virtual machines with their live sources. Setup is designed for simplicity, with the solution automatically handling the installation of necessary components. Administrators can embed real-time failover directly into their Site Recovery workflows, allowing for automated takeover during an outage to ensure service continuity and prevent any data loss. All data transferred across wide-area networks is encrypted for security.

Expanding its coverage for physical infrastructure, the update now enables granular backup for physical Windows and Linux machines. Beyond full-system protection, administrators can choose to back up specific folders or individual volumes. These granular backups can be stored on a wide array of targets, including local drives, cloud repositories, and tape, while supporting encryption and immutability. Recovery is equally flexible, allowing data to be restored to network shares, emailed, or downloaded via a web browser for quick access to needed files.
