This strategic move, developed in partnership with the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), reinforces Qatar’s growing reputation as a center for technological investment and digital innovation.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of key figures including QFZ Acting COO Abdulla Hamad Al Binali and Kingdee Group President Jason Zhang, alongside senior representatives from both public and private sectors. The establishment of its regional headquarters follows a major investment from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) in December 2023, which injected approximately $200 million into Kingdee to accelerate its regional growth.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al Thani, CEO of QFZ, welcomed Kingdee’s presence as a testament to Qatar’s appeal to global tech leaders. Jason Zhang emphasized Qatar’s strategic position as both an economic hub and a critical junction within the Belt and Road Initiative, stating that Kingdee intends to use Qatar as a base to expand across the Gulf and beyond.
