Capcom has announced it will pull the deluxe edition of Dragon’s Dogma 2 from sale on June 24th, alongside the removal of several controversial microtransactions that allowed players to bypass core progression systems. The move comes as the developer prepares for the launch of a major expansion.

In an official statement shared across the game’s social channels, Capcom thanked the community for its continued support and explained the decision. The company noted that “due to the development of additional content and various adjustments for the upcoming title update,” a range of in-game items , many designed to accelerate gameplay , will be retired.

Starting June 25th, the following items will no longer be available for purchase on any platform. Players who already own them, however, can continue using them without issue:
