Informatica has introduced a suite of advanced capabilities for its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), aiming to seamlessly connect enterprise data with next-generation AI agents. These innovations are crafted to boost productivity, enhance data security, and foster confidence in AI-driven decision-making processes across organizations.

A central feature of this launch is the debut of CLAIRE Agents, which operate autonomously to streamline intricate data management tasks. The CLAIRE Data Exploration Agents allow users to perform sophisticated natural language searches across Master Data Management (MDM) and other enterprise data repositories. Enterprise Discovery Agents deliver precise, context-aware results from diverse data sources, supplying tailored information for AI and analytics applications. ELT Agents enable business teams to construct data pipelines and work collaboratively with data engineers on deployment. Product Help Agents offer context-sensitive answers to queries about data within the IDMC environment. Data Quality Agents, currently in public preview, let users quickly generate, assess, and implement data quality rules based on business needs expressed in plain language. Additionally, Product Experience Agents, available in private preview, assist in categorizing products and enriching MDM records using both structured and unstructured data.

Informatica has also upgraded CLAIRE GPT with enhanced planning, reasoning, and natural language comprehension. This allows users to design, automate, and refine data workflows through simple conversational commands. Leveraging Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock Claude models within a secure cloud infrastructure, CLAIRE GPT delivers robust, enterprise-level agentic data management. CLAIRE Copilot for MDM further simplifies how users interact with master data, enabling natural language queries to explore information and access product support directly within the Informatica MDM interface.

The announcement highlights progress in AI Agent Engineering through Informatica’s Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), reinforcing IDMC’s role as the foundational data layer for agentic AI systems. AI Agent Engineering, in private preview, offers a no-code interface for building, connecting, orchestrating, and managing customizable Informatica agents. This slashes development time from weeks to minutes and includes built-in testing, monitoring, full lifecycle support, logging, and observability features. The AI Agent Hub, also in private preview, provides pre-built, domain-specific AI agents and automation templates that integrate with platforms like Jira, Salesforce, Dynamics, Snowflake, and Microsoft Teams. These accelerate setup for lead management, approval workflows, and MDM data discovery. Informatica MCP Servers ensure secure connectivity between AI agents and enterprise tools, including cloud address verification and Cloud Data Governance Catalog (CDGC) search and MDM functions.

On the data governance and privacy front, Unstructured Data Governance (private preview) allows CDGC users to scan, classify, and catalog unstructured files using hierarchical taxonomies. This helps enterprises prepare content for generative AI applications within their data catalog. New AI Governance features in CDGC enable modeling of multi-agent systems and scanning of AI asset inventories from Google Vertex AI, supporting comprehensive governance of AI systems and applications. Data Access Management now includes enhanced plugins for policy pushdown to Databricks, AWS Redshift, and Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse, ensuring uniform enforcement of access policies for secure and responsible data usage.

For Master Data Management, the new Agentic Product Information Management (PIM) for Product 360 (private preview) simplifies product data stewardship via intuitive conversational interfaces. The MDM Extension for Agentforce integrates Salesforce-native AI agents with unified, governed master data, infusing customer engagement workflows with reliable, context-rich insights.

Industry experts recognize the growing demand for agentic data management solutions. Research indicates that Informatica meets this need by supporting key use cases such as data quality and integration, while also simplifying AI innovation by enabling enterprises to develop and refine agents while synchronizing data, model, and application lifecycles.

According to Informatica’s Chief Product Officer, the world is stepping into an era of agentic AI where autonomous agents work alongside humans to tackle complex business problems. These new capabilities are designed to help every organization link trusted, AI-ready data to intelligent agents, enabling faster innovation, smarter operations, and the creation of dependable AI systems.
