Creative software leader Adobe has introduced a powerful new platform enabling businesses to develop bespoke generative artificial intelligence models tailored to their specific branding and intellectual property. Adobe AI Foundry represents a strategic expansion of the company’s enterprise offerings, allowing organizations to co-create custom AI solutions capable of generating text, images, video content, and even three-dimensional scenes.

Built upon Adobe’s existing Firefly AI model family, which launched last year using exclusively licensed training data, the foundry service fine-tunes these foundation models using each client’s proprietary assets. This customization process ensures that generated content maintains brand consistency while protecting intellectual property rights.

Unlike Adobe’s traditional per-seat licensing structure, the foundry service operates on a usage-based pricing model, providing flexibility for enterprises with varying AI implementation needs. Hannah Elsakr, Adobe’s vice president of generative AI new business ventures, explained that this development responds directly to customer demand for more personalized AI solutions.

“This enhancement builds upon capabilities we already offered,” Elsakr noted. “Enterprise clients have specifically requested our guidance and partnership, asking Adobe to serve as their primary creative marketing AI collaborator.”

Since their initial release, Adobe’s Firefly models have already facilitated the creation of more than 25 billion digital assets across the enterprise landscape. The new foundry service aims to accelerate this productivity by enabling brands to rapidly adapt marketing campaigns across different seasons, languages, and media formats while maintaining consistent brand messaging.

“The level of personalization achievable through these tools is remarkable,” Elsakr emphasized. “While personalized commerce has been an industry goal for years, generative AI and Firefly technology finally make it feasible to deliver brand-authentic experiences directly to consumers.”

Despite the sophisticated capabilities of these AI tools, Adobe maintains that human creativity remains irreplaceable. The company positions these technologies as enhancements to existing creative workflows rather than replacements for human talent.

“We firmly believe humanity sits at the core of creative expression,” Elsakr stated. “For decades, Adobe’s mission has centered on providing tools that amplify storytelling capabilities and help visionaries bring their ideas to life. Firefly and the new foundry service simply represent the next chapter in this ongoing journey, equipping creators with more advanced instruments to elevate their narrative craft.”
