Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecommunications Group has officially opened its inaugural Artificial Intelligence Hub in Pakistan, signaling a significant advancement in the digital partnership between the two nations. The inauguration event took place in Islamabad with the participation of key dignitaries, including Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, National Coordinator SIFC Lt Gen Sarfaraz Ahmed, and GO Group CEO Yahya bin Saleh Al-Mansour.
This strategic project is designed to enhance bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence research, digital skills development, and collaborative technology creation. By promoting the exchange of expertise and building professional capabilities, the GO AI Hub intends to provide Pakistani experts, business owners, and independent professionals with direct pathways to engage with Saudi Arabian companies.
Minister Shaza Fatima characterized the hub as a lasting digital connection between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that it represents an ongoing commitment rather than a single event. She explained that Pakistani freelancers will now have the ability to deliver services remotely to Saudi firms through this platform. She also indicated that substantial future investments in data infrastructure are planned to bolster Pakistan’s growing digital landscape.
The minister pointed to Pakistan’s increasing momentum in AI-driven innovation, digital expertise, and technology funding, underlining how 17 recently finalized IT sector agreements between the two countries will accelerate joint initiatives.
Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki noted that GO Group’s established AI Hub in Silicon Valley provided a proven model for expanding into Pakistan. He conveyed strong confidence that additional ventures will follow, further solidifying the strategic relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
GO Group CEO Yahya bin Saleh Al-Mansour described the Islamabad launch as the beginning of a new phase in Saudi-Pakistani collaboration on artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and information and communication technology. He confirmed the group’s dedication to funding data center and cybersecurity projects, extending an invitation to Pakistani enterprises and organizations to partner through the GO AI Hub and tap into AI-focused prospects within the Saudi market.
Acting as a regional catalyst for digital advancement, the hub will support Pakistan’s goal of establishing itself as a center for AI innovation and remote technology services in South Asia.
