– Both robot vacuums will be available later in the year, but pricing has not yet been announced.

Roborock has unveiled its next-generation flagship robot vacuums at CES 2026, introducing a significant leap in autonomous navigation and cleaning performance. The new Roborock Saros 20 and Saros 20 Sonic models are engineered to handle household obstacles that typically stymie other robots, thanks to a major hardware upgrade. The core of this advancement is the improved AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0, a system designed to give these machines an unprecedented ability to climb and adapt to different floor surfaces without human intervention.

This enhanced chassis empowers the robots to tackle raised thresholds that would normally trap a vacuum. They can now surmount single obstacles as tall as 3.3 inches. More impressively, they can navigate complex, double-layer thresholds, managing a first step of 1.7 inches followed by a second step of 1.57 inches. This climbing capability means the vacuums can move freely between rooms with differing floor heights or cross over door saddles, reducing the instances where they become stuck and require rescue.

Beyond climbing, the dynamic chassis provides intelligent cleaning adjustments for various floor types. It automatically elevates the robot’s body when it detects carpeting, allowing it to clean effectively on pile heights up to 1.2 inches without getting bogged down. This same adaptive mechanism helps the vacuum extricate itself if it does happen to get caught on an object like a loose cord or rug fringe, promising a more hands-off experience for the user.

For households prioritizing floor washing, the higher-end Saros 20 Sonic model includes a specialized mopping system. It features the VibraRise 5.0 sonic mop, an advanced component that lowers and extends to scrub directly along baseboards and into edges. Through the companion Roborock app, owners can tailor the cleaning by adjusting water flow levels and the intensity of the mop’s vibrations to suit hard surfaces like tile, sealed wood, or laminate.

Both the Roborock Saros 20 and the mopping-focused Saros 20 Sonic are slated for release later this year. The company has not yet disclosed how much these advanced robot cleaners will cost, leaving potential buyers awaiting final pricing details as the launch approaches.
