The program will feature the live game broadcast from the All-22 camera angle, which provides a wide, overhead view of the entire field. This perspective allows fans to see play development, coverage schemes, and player movement in a way the traditional broadcast cannot. Superimposed on this view will be a suite of real-time analytics and augmented reality graphics.
To power this data-driven experience, ESPN collaborated with the sports analytics platform Adrenaline. Their system utilizes an artificial intelligence model trained on a vast historical database of NFL plays. This technology generates live predictions and probabilities during the game, such as the likelihood of a run or pass play and the potential for a defensive blitz.
The on-screen graphics and data will update dynamically until the very moment the ball is snapped.
