Prosser places the blame squarely on the other defendant, arguing that person “is completely responsible” for the alleged trade secret disclosures.

Apple initially filed its lawsuit last July, claiming that Prosser and the other defendant were involved in a scheme to obtain and publicize proprietary details about upcoming iOS features. The company alleged that the leaks caused significant harm by undermining its product launch strategies. Prosser’s response now shifts the legal focus, maintaining that his role was limited to reporting on information provided to him, rather than actively participating in any theft. He also notes that he did not knowingly engage in any coordinated effort to damage Apple’s interests, though he concedes the financial arrangement tied to the leaked content.
