The Apple Watch SE 3 has dropped to an all-time low of $199 for Prime Day, turning what was already a standout wearable into an even more compelling buy. While the Series 11 and Ultra 3 felt like safe, incremental updates last year, the SE 3 was a true overhaul. It introduced an always-on display, gesture controls like double tap and wrist flick, a wrist-temperature sensor, 5G support, fast charging, a built-in speaker, and a faster processor that will support watchOS 27 when it launches this fall.
For most people, this is the Apple Watch I recommend. You only need to look elsewhere if you absolutely require thinner bezels, or health features like EKG and atrial fibrillation detection. The 40mm size is a great fit for smaller wrists, too. During my testing, I didn’t feel any FOMO at all. However, if advanced health tracking is non-negotiable, the Apple Watch Series 11 is also $50 off right now, hitting an all-time low of $279. A word for bargain hunters: a Series 12 is expected within a few months, but the SE line likely won’t see an update for at least another year.
