Amflow, the e-bike brand born from DJI’s innovation pipeline, has unveiled the TL Carbon, a versatile eSUV designed to bridge the gap between rugged bikepacking and the daily school run. This full-suspension machine aims to be as comfortable on singletrack as it is on the commute to daycare.
At the heart of the TL Carbon is Amflow’s proprietary Avinox M2 mid-drive motor, a remarkably compact unit that punches well above its weight. Riders get 125Nm of torque , enough to flatten steep climbs , and a peak output of 1,100W. For extended journeys, the bike accepts up to 1,280Wh of total battery capacity when pairing the standard 800Wh removable pack with a 480Wh range extender. A clever optional hub can even charge four batteries in sequence, minimizing downtime for heavy users.
Practicality is a core focus. The sport-tourer rolls off the line with mudguards, integrated lighting, and a rear rack rated for 27kg of cargo. A front rack can be added to carry another 20kg, and the rear rack’s MIK HD compatibility allows quick swapping between a child seat, panniers, or a bike trailer for the family pet. The front fork, rear suspension, and wide knobby tires absorb trail ruts and urban potholes alike. Despite its capability, the TL Carbon can be configured to weigh as little as 22.6kg (50lbs) , impressively light for a full-suspension utility bike , while supporting a total payload of 200kg (440lbs).
Shifting is handled electronically. The system detects gear-change signals and executes smooth shifts without requiring the rider to pedal. On steep grades, it actively reduces torque during shifts to minimize drivetrain shock and protect the chain.
The feature set extends into connectivity and security. Apple Find My integration helps locate a stolen bike. A heart rate sensor adjusts pedal assist to keep the rider in their target zone. And for content creators, DJI Osmo camera integration allows recording control directly from the e-bike’s display.
All this capability carries a premium. In Europe, the Amflow TL Carbon is priced at €3,499, and in the UK at £3,199. US pricing remains unannounced, as do specific shipping dates. Amflow says the new model will be available globally later this year.
