The Laduora Duo 4-in-1 device resembles a high-tech hairbrush but packs multiple therapies into one cordless tool. It charges via USB, requiring about four hours for a full battery that delivers 60 minutes of use, or roughly 12 five-minute sessions. Operation is simple: a single button powers the device on and off while cycling through three modes,Gentle, Balance, and Boost. Details on the settings are sparse, but each step increases the intensity of vibrations transmitted through small, rounded metal nibs that buzz against the scalp in short pulses. These bristles are short, rigid, and fixed in place, so they can snag in tangled hair if you’re not careful. After a five-minute cycle, the brush automatically shuts off.
For best results, start with mostly clean hair, whether dry or damp. Position the brush teeth so they all contact the scalp, then move the device front to back, side to side, or in circular motions to cover the entire area. A center hole accepts a serum pod, which dispenses product through the bristle tips to enhance the intended effect. The Boost serum, included with my test unit, targets thinning and shedding. Balance restores the scalp’s natural pH using rose, raspberry seed, argan, and castor oils. Awaken soothes irritation with peppermint, tea tree oil, and aloe extract.

The most immediate physical sensation, however, is the vibration. The moving teeth deliver a quasi-scalp massage that reduces tension and encourages circulation. I felt the same tingly sensation you get when someone lightly scratches your scalp or plays with your hair. The microcurrents work alongside the warmth to promote hair growth by increasing blood circulation and stimulating follicles. Differentiating between the microcurrents and vibrations proved difficult, as the microcurrents also generate a low vibration that felt nearly identical.
