The app, which appeared on the App Store several weeks before its official April 1 release, is currently free. Users can generate up to seven songs daily by entering simple text prompts. They have control over several parameters, including track length, the presence of lyrics, and overall writing style. A key feature is the ability to browse and remix songs created by other users, though these new versions count toward the daily generation limit.
For discovery, ElevenMusic functions similarly to mainstream streaming services. It includes live stations, pre-made albums, and daily mixes categorized by mood, such as Focus, Energy, and Chill. Sections for top charts, trending tracks, and new releases are also present. For more prolific creators, a Pro subscription tier is available for $9.99 monthly or $95.90 annually. This plan increases the monthly generation limit to 500 tracks, provides over 500 GB of storage, and unlocks full access to all musical styles and moods.
This launch is part of a broader expansion for ElevenLabs, which secured a $500 million Series C funding round at an $11 billion valuation in February. Over recent months, the company has aggressively developed new creative models. It released its first commercially safe music generation model last August and partnered with prominent producers on an AI-assisted album earlier this year. Previously, ElevenLabs’ consumer offerings were centered on its voice generator and the ElevenReader platform for audiobooks.
