Samsung has introduced a versatile new portable monitor that combines the convenience of a tablet with the functionality of a full-sized display. The 27-inch Movingstyle touchscreen monitor offers up to three hours of battery-powered operation, making it ideal for streaming entertainment or delivering presentations without needing a constant power connection. Priced at $1,199.99, this innovative device can either be wheeled around on its included rollable stand or detached and carried like an oversized briefcase.

A sliding mechanism on the rear of the display allows users to separate the screen from its mobile floor stand, which features a height-adjustable arm capable of rotating the monitor between landscape and portrait orientations. When connected to an electrical outlet, the stand also serves as a charging dock for the monitor’s internal battery. An integrated handle makes transporting the 12-pound screen more manageable, though its weight may still pose a challenge for some users.

That same handle cleverly transforms into an adjustable kickstand, letting you position the monitor horizontally on flat surfaces, much like an artist’s easel. This design makes the Movingstyle suitable for a variety of scenarios, from backyard movie nights to moving between different rooms or workspaces.

In terms of visual and audio performance, the monitor delivers a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by HDR10 Plus support and immersive Dolby Atmos audio. It comes preloaded with Samsung TV Plus for live television streaming and Samsung Gaming Hub, enabling cloud-based gameplay through services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna, no console required. The device supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to pair it with wireless speakers or headphones.

On the connectivity front, the monitor is equipped with two USB-C ports and one HDMI input on the back panel. Users can interact with the interface through touch gestures, the included remote control, or voice commands via Samsung’s Bixby assistant.

Samsung is also releasing a larger 32-inch 4K model in the Movingstyle lineup, though this version is permanently attached to its rollable stand and cannot be detached. The $699.99 Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor shares many characteristics with the Moving Style Edge display previously launched in Korea, which was offered in both Standard and Lite variants.
