Atari has officially opened preorders for the Intellivision Sprint, a modern revival of the classic console loaded with 45 built-in games, set to launch on December 5 for $150. This new system arrives as part of Atari’s broader strategy to reintroduce beloved retro gaming brands to today’s audience.

Developed in collaboration with Plaion, the Intellivision Sprint package includes two wireless controllers and a USB-A port designed for future library expansion. The console comes pre-loaded with a wide array of fan favorites such as Baseball, Soccer, Astrosmash, Boulder Dash, and Sea Battle. To enhance the authentic retro experience, each game includes two controller overlays, ensuring players can enjoy the titles as they were originally intended.

Matt Burett, Atari’s Vice President of Strategic Operations, expressed enthusiasm for the project. “We’re thrilled to celebrate Intellivision’s 45th anniversary, and what better way to honor it than by bringing back this innovative console for fans to experience once again? Becoming caretakers of such an important brand is both a big responsibility and a very fun expansion of our work at Atari,” he remarked.

This release follows Atari’s acquisition of the Intellivision brand and the majority of its game catalog in May 2024. Previously, a different revival known as the Intellivision Amico had been in development, though it has yet to launch and will no longer carry the Intellivision name.

Atari’s recent efforts in the retro gaming space also include the launch of the Atari 2600+ in late 2023, which modernized the original system with features like widescreen support. Additionally, the company’s purchase of developer Digital Eclipse, currently developing the Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection, signals a continued investment in preserving and celebrating video game history.

The complete lineup of 45 games available on the Intellivision Sprint is as follows:
