Ahead of its anticipated launch, Samsung’s upcoming Android XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan, has reportedly surfaced in a detailed leak. The device is said to feature a 4K micro-OLED display with an impressive 4,032 pixels per inch, surpassing the pixel density of Apple’s Vision Pro headset. This high-resolution screen promises sharp, immersive visuals for extended reality applications.

Powering the headset is believed to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 processor, which supports 4.3K resolution at 90 frames per second for each eye. Multiple sensors positioned on the front and inside of the device are expected to enable intuitive control via hand gestures, eye tracking, and voice commands. These features align with earlier hands-on reports, which also indicated that Google’s Gemini AI assistant will be integrated directly into the system.

Weighing in at 545 grams, or roughly 19.2 ounces, the headset is designed with user comfort in mind. It includes cushioning along the interior, a dial for adjusting the head strap, and detachable light shields to minimize external light interference. Battery life is estimated to reach up to two hours for general use or 2.5 hours for video playback, with a separate battery pack that connects via a power port located on the left side of the device.

A leaked screenshot of the interface reveals a version of Samsung’s One UI customized for XR, featuring native Samsung apps such as Camera and Gallery alongside popular Google services like Maps, Photos, and the Play Store. Streaming apps including YouTube and Netflix also appear in the interface, suggesting strong media consumption capabilities. Industry sources indicate that Samsung may officially unveil the headset as early as October 21st, giving consumers a chance to see whether these rumored specifications hold true.
