Getting hands-on with the latest tech often makes all the difference, and Meta is opening new pop-up shops to let people experience its smart glasses with a built-in display firsthand. These temporary retail spaces, called Meta Labs, will appear in key cities alongside the company’s existing locations, offering demos of its wearable technology and virtual reality hardware.

Starting in October, Meta will launch pop-ups in Las Vegas and New York. The Las Vegas outlet, situated inside the Wynn Las Vegas, is set to welcome visitors beginning October 16th. Over in New York, the Fifth Avenue location is tentatively planned to open its doors on November 13th. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Meta Lab, which started as a pop-up last year, is being revived as the brand’s new flagship store. That Melrose Avenue location will reopen on October 24th, now expanded to occupy more than 20,000 square feet. The company’s permanent Burlingame, California shop will continue operating as well.

Anyone interested in testing the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses that feature a display can schedule a demo directly through Meta’s website. Initially, booking slots will be available for the Burlingame and Los Angeles Meta Lab stores. The site also provides options for appointments at other retail partners, though availability is limited; in many major cities, slots are reportedly filled through mid-October.

A previous version of this announcement described the Los Angeles location as returning as a pop-up, but the company has clarified that it will in fact be a permanent flagship store.
