Logitech’s upcoming flagship wireless gaming mouse, the Pro X2 Superstrike, represents a significant shift in input technology by replacing traditional mechanical switches with an advanced analog system enhanced by haptic feedback. Priced at $179.99 and scheduled for release early next year, this innovative peripheral aims to redefine responsiveness and customization for competitive gamers.

At the heart of the Pro X2 Superstrike lies the Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS), which reduces button travel to a mere 0.6mm. This design promises dramatically lower latency, Logitech claims improvements of up to 30 milliseconds, enabling faster click registration. Users can fine-tune their experience with ten customizable actuation points and, notably, rapid trigger functionality. While rapid trigger is more commonly associated with gaming keyboards, its integration into a mouse allows the sensor to reset with minimal finger lift, facilitating rapid successive inputs with very little effort. The mouse offers five adjustable rapid trigger reset points through Logitech’s G Hub software, giving players precise control over their clicking behavior.

Weighing in at 65 grams, the Superstrike incorporates Logitech’s Hero 2 sensor, already familiar from the current Pro X wireless series. It supports a wireless polling rate of up to 8,000Hz via the included Lightspeed USB-A dongle, though this feature requires activation through G Hub. While ultra-high polling rates may exceed what many players can perceptibly benefit from, the combination with rapid trigger could deliver a tangible edge in high-speed gameplay scenarios.

Alongside the Superstrike, Logitech is introducing the Superlight 2C, a more compact iteration of the popular Superlight 2. This model is 10% lighter at just 51 grams and 5% smaller in overall dimensions, making it an appealing option for gamers with smaller hands or those seeking a lighter, more agile mouse. Despite its redesigned form factor, the Superlight 2C retains the same internal specifications as its predecessor. It will be available starting October 21st for $159.99.
