Doha’s latest educational initiative is poised to reshape learning on a global scale through the introduction of a new cohort of pioneering startups. The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative backed by Qatar Foundation, has unveiled its newest Edtech Accelerator program, selecting eight standout ventures from a pool of more than 300 applicants. These companies are dedicated to addressing deep-rooted educational challenges both within Qatar and across international markets.

This year marks a significant shift in the program’s structure, introducing two distinct pathways: a global track for ventures with worldwide scalability, and a local track designed to support growth within Qatar’s own educational environment. Since its establishment, the accelerator has provided participants with unparalleled mentorship, strategic direction, and access to Qatar’s influential education network.

Stavros N. Yiannouka, CEO of WISE, stressed that educational technology has moved from being an optional enhancement to an absolute necessity for expanding access to quality learning. He pointed to the unique blend of local and international innovators within the cohort, all of whom are working creatively at the crossroads of technology and meaningful educational outcomes.

Notable participants include AlGooru, a Saudi Arabian tutoring platform that has already facilitated more than 150,000 sessions. Also joining are iSchool and SkillUp MENA, both concentrating on building digital literacy among K–12 students throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Wonderly, operating on a global scale, helps educators bring coding and computer science into everyday lessons. From Africa, Nyansapo AI offers artificial intelligence tools that monitor student development, already supporting 23,000 learners.

Further enriching the cohort are ventures like Xertify, which is modernizing the way digital credentials are issued and verified. Musa turns everyday WhatsApp conversations into productive learning exchanges, serving users across Latin America and Africa. InvestEd, based in the Philippines, introduces fresh approaches to student financing, making education more accessible. Together, these startups illustrate the program’s far-reaching influence and reinforce Qatar’s growing reputation as a central hub for educational innovation.
