This definitive collection, developed by Digital Eclipse in partnership with Ubisoft Montpellier, celebrates three decades of the iconic 1995 platformer. A digital release arrives first, with a physical edition planned for June.
This special package bundles five distinct versions of the original adventure, spanning platforms like the PlayStation, Atari Jaguar, MS-DOS, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Color. Players can revisit the magical, limbless hero’s journey through beloved locales such as the Dream Forest and the chaotic Band Lands, working to rescue Electoons and thwart the villainous Mr. Dark.
Beyond the classic games, the anniversary edition is packed with new content and modern enhancements. A significant highlight is the inclusion of a never-before-playable SNES prototype, offering a fascinating glimpse into the game’s development. The package also adds 120 extra levels from bonus level packs and features a beautifully reimagined soundtrack by composer Christophe Héral.
To improve the gameplay experience, several new features have been integrated. Players can utilize a 60-second rewind function, grant themselves infinite lives, or toggle an invincibility mode. These options make the classic challenge more accessible to everyone.
