Internally, these earbuds utilize the H1 chip rather than the newer H2 found in more premium models. This means users still benefit from convenient one-touch pairing, hands-free Siri activation, Find My tracking capabilities, and seamless syncing across all Apple devices via iCloud. Android users are not left out, gaining access to one-touch pairing through the dedicated Beats app, customizable control settings, a helpful Fit Test for selecting proper ear tip size, and location tracking features.
While not a complete overhaul, the Powerbeats Fit introduce a meaningful physical change with a charging case that is seventeen percent smaller, making it much easier to carry in a pocket. This reduction in size does not come at the expense of battery performance. The earbuds themselves deliver up to seven hours of listening time, which extends to a full thirty hours when used in conjunction with the charging case. Engaging Active Noise Cancellation slightly reduces this to six hours for the earbuds and twenty-four hours total with the case.
The earbuds maintain an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, adequate for workouts and light rain but not for submersion.
