The upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remaster will feature many iconic tracks from the original games, but one notable absence has left fans, and the band behind the song, disappointed. Alien Ant Farm’s Wish, which appeared in THPS 3, won’t make the cut, a decision the band acknowledges but still finds frustrating.

In a recent interview with the BBC, guitarist Terry Corso and lead singer Dryden Mitchell addressed their exclusion from the remaster’s soundtrack. The band’s official Instagram had previously responded to the news with a simple sad-face emoji, reflecting their reaction to the omission. “Is it a bummer that we weren’t invited, or that they didn’t include us? Absolutely,” Corso admitted. While understanding the need for creative changes, he expressed confidence in the song’s impact, noting its strong reception in the original game.

Mitchell took a more philosophical approach, acknowledging that THPS has always leaned toward punk aesthetics. “We’re not a punk band, but that diversity is what makes a soundtrack interesting,” he said. The band’s alternative rock style may not have aligned with the game’s updated direction, but their contribution remains a memorable part of the series’ legacy.

The decision ultimately traces back to Tony Hawk himself. Earlier this year, the skateboarding icon revealed he personally curated the soundtrack, opting to replace some classics with fresh tracks. “I wanted to introduce new music while keeping the spirit of discovery alive,” Hawk explained, emphasizing the importance of variety in the game’s iconic playlists.

While Alien Ant Farm’s Wish didn’t survive the cut, it’s unclear whether any of their other songs, like Movies, will appear instead. For now, fans of the band will have to revisit the original THPS 3 to hear their tracks in action.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 launches on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC on July 11, 2025, promising a mix of nostalgia and new energy, even if some favorites didn’t make the final roster.
