Pricing for the new electric SUV starts at $109,000 for the Cayenne model, with the Turbo version commanding $163,000. In the UK, these figures translate to £83,200 and £130,900 respectively. Porsche is undoubtedly hoping its first fully electric SUV will offer customers better long-term value retention than the Taycan, which saw some owners lose half their car’s value within just six months, sometimes leaving them with negative equity.

The Cayenne Turbo Electric stands as the most powerful production vehicle Porsche has ever built. Its performance statistics are extraordinary: it rockets from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 2.5 seconds, reaches 124 mph in 7.4 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 162 mph. A newly developed drive system generates up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,500 Nm of torque when Launch Control is engaged. Borrowing technology from motorsport, the Turbo variant features direct oil cooling for the rear axle electric motor, enabling sustained high performance.

Even the base Cayenne Electric delivers impressive capability, with 300 kW (408 PS) during normal operation. Activating Launch Control boosts output to 325 kW (442 PS) and 835 Nm of torque, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 143 mph.
