Belkin has initiated a significant product recall for its Auto-Tracking Stand Pro for iPhone and two models of its 20,000mAh BoostCharge USB-C PD Power Bank due to a serious manufacturing flaw. This defect involves the lithium-ion cell components, which can overheat and present a genuine fire and burn hazard to consumers. According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, while only one fire incident has been reported in the United States, internationally there have been fifteen reports, including two minor burn injuries and property damage totaling $37,765.
Approximately 83,500 of these stands and power banks were sold across the United States from August 2020 through August 2025. They were available via Belkin’s own online store as well as major retailers like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Amazon. An additional 2,385 units were sold in Canada. To determine if a product is affected, consumers should check the model number printed on the bottom or sides of the device. The Auto-Tracking Stand Pro is identified by model number MMA008, and the power banks carry model numbers BPB002 or PB0003.
The company strongly advises all customers to stop using the recalled devices immediately and get in touch with Belkin to arrange for a full refund or receive Belkin.com store credit for the entire purchase price, plus a 20 percent bonus. A dedicated recall claim form is available on the Belkin website. To speed up the refund procedure, you will need to provide a valid receipt and the device’s serial number.
Once a claim has been submitted, it is crucial to dispose of the recalled products properly. They should be taken to a facility equipped to handle defective lithium-ion batteries safely. Do not discard these items in regular trash, recycling bins, or the battery collection boxes found at many retail stores.
