LexisNexis Risk Solutions has officially opened its new APAC data hub in Malaysia, a strategic move designed to strengthen digital identity protection and fraud prevention capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region. This facility represents a significant step in the company’s ongoing effort to provide secure and high-performance digital identity and fraud prevention solutions for businesses operating in Asia.

The Malaysia-based data center will process information to support key markets throughout APAC, including North Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australia. By establishing this local infrastructure, LexisNexis aims to enhance system performance and stability for its regional clients, helping them support their own expansion and operational needs.

This new hub builds upon the success of the company’s existing cloud hosting facility in Australia and its first Asia-Pacific data center in India, which launched in 2023. Designed to mirror the company’s global data centers, the Malaysian facility gives customers across the region complete access to the LexisNexis® Digital Identity Network®. Because data is now routed locally, transaction speeds are expected to improve significantly.

The Digital Identity Network® platform is a powerful tool, analyzing more than 300 million transactions every day across 180,000 websites worldwide. This massive stream of digital intelligence enables clients to differentiate between trusted users and potential fraudsters in real time. The platform is further enhanced by integrating advanced behavioural intelligence through LexisNexis® BehavioSec®, creating a robust enterprise solution for digital identity authentication.

Konstantin Poptodorov, Director of Fraud and Identity for Australia and New Zealand at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, emphasized the importance of this development. “Speed and reliability in digital identity verification and fraud prevention are critical for businesses across Asia,” he stated. “Our APAC data centre brings the global Digital Identity Network closer to regional customers to deliver improved performance and stability. This expansion exemplifies our commitment to empowering businesses in Asia to thrive confidently, keep their business and consumers safe and remain competitive in the digital economy.”

In terms of security and reliability, the new APAC data center adheres to major international standards, including ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, PCI DSS, SOC 1 Type II, and SOC 2 Type II. LexisNexis Risk Solutions has also implemented regionalized maintenance schedules to minimize service disruptions for its APAC customers, ensuring consistent and dependable operations.
