Phillips Machine Tools, a premier supplier of advanced manufacturing equipment, has confirmed its participation in the upcoming AJBAN Defense Industry & Technology Exhibition. The event, scheduled for September 23–25, 2025, will take place at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The company plans to present a wide array of high-tech manufacturing systems, with a special focus on solutions tailored for the aerospace sector.
Under the banner “Unlocking Local Capabilities,” the exhibition will serve as a platform for Phillips to demonstrate how its advanced CNC machining and additive manufacturing systems can help regional manufacturers increase self-sufficiency, expand production capacity, and drive innovation within defense supply networks. Live displays will include state-of-the-art 5-axis machining centers designed for high-precision components, alongside industrial additive manufacturing setups capable of producing intricate, lightweight parts.
Jopu Zachariah, Director of MENA at Phillips Machine Tools, emphasized the strategic importance of the event. “AJBAN offers a vital opportunity to connect with industry leaders, present our latest technologies, and support the UAE’s goal of strengthening local aerospace capabilities,” he stated. “We are eager to meet with engineers, manufacturers, and decision-makers to discuss their specific needs and show how our solutions align with their strategic goals.”
The aerospace and defense materials market in the Middle East and Africa is projected to reach $3.64 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 8.13% from 2025 onward. A major regional trend involves efforts to localize production and diversify supply chains. There is increasing adoption of technologies such as additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and artificial intelligence to boost operational efficiency and reduce reliance on imported components.
Anuj Budhiraja, Vice President of Additive Manufacturing at Phillips, highlighted the growing demand for customized part production. “Our technologies are ideally suited to meet the need for on-demand manufacturing,” he explained. “Through our Phillips 360 approach, we deliver not only machinery but a complete support ecosystem, including localized sales, service, training, and technical expertise. Our mission is to embed world-class technology and knowledge directly within the Middle East’s aerospace landscape.”
Visitors to the Phillips booth (C14, Hall 2) will have the chance to engage with industry specialists and observe live demonstrations of advanced manufacturing technologies. Experts will be on hand to illustrate how these innovations are reshaping production processes and enhancing operational efficiency across the aerospace and defense sectors.
