A major telecommunications partnership is set to strengthen high-performance connectivity across the Middle East and North Africa. Kalaam Carrier Solutions (KCS), the wholesale division of Kalaam Telecom Group, has renewed its strategic alliance with Riedel Networks for an additional three years. This extended collaboration continues to provide essential connectivity services for motorsport events, media operations, and enterprise clients throughout the MENA region.
Since the partnership began in 2022, it has successfully supported high-stakes communications at races held in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. Central to this success is a powerful regional network anchored by a critical Point of Presence in Manama, Bahrain. This facility integrates fully with Kalaam’s terrestrial KNOT cable system, offering a completely land-based pathway across the area and direct access to Riedel’s global backbone. The result is a network praised for its security, resilience, and exceptionally low latency.
Beyond motorsport, the collaboration has streamlined regional operations for businesses in finance, energy, and logistics. It enables smooth connectivity between local offices and international networks, supporting global enterprise needs. Under the renewed agreement, both companies intend to broaden their infrastructure, establish new interconnection points, and roll out specialized services for corporate users, broadcasters, and digital platforms.
Veer Passi, Group CEO of Kalaam Telecom, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “As a Bahraini company, Kalaam is proud to serve as the connectivity partner of choice for the world’s premier motorsport series.” He added that Riedel’s choice to use Bahrain as its regional hub underscores the kingdom’s emergence as a digital gateway and confirms Kalaam’s ability to provide dependable, high-speed services for major international events.
Michael Martens, CEO of Riedel Networks, echoed this sentiment, noting, “Our partnership with Kalaam has allowed us to supply top-tier connectivity for global motorsport and deliver solid network solutions for regional enterprises.” He confirmed that the renewal will include an expansion of joint offerings to keep pace with growing corporate and event customer demands.
Kalaam Telecom Group brings more than three decades of experience to the table as a Bahrain-based digital solutions provider. It serves small and medium enterprises, large corporations, and carriers around the world, with a operational presence in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, and the UK. The company’s portfolio spans connectivity, cloud services, cybersecurity, information and communication technology, and data centers. It owns the terrestrial KNOT cable system, participates in the Europe-India Gateway submarine cable consortium, and operates the distinctive Kalaam Iraq Transit terrestrial route, ensuring low-latency and highly secure regional connectivity.
