Halo Security has rolled out significant platform upgrades aimed at empowering security teams with greater flexibility and control over exposure data management. These enhancements are designed to streamline workflows, improve visibility, and support tailored approaches to cybersecurity operations.
The latest release introduces custom dashboards, configurable reports, and refined automation tools, enabling organizations to better visualize and handle their security data. According to Lisa Dowling, CEO of Halo Security, the updates address the unique needs of diverse roles within security teams. “A vulnerability analyst requires different insights than a compliance manager, and a CISO needs distinct views compared to a security specialist,” she explained. “These features allow every user to build personalized dashboards and reports that boost their effectiveness in safeguarding the organization.”
A standout addition is the custom dashboard functionality, which supports drag-and-drop widget integration. Security professionals can now design role-specific views using widgets such as risk score trends, critical findings tables, asset distribution charts, and compliance status monitors. These dashboards can be shared across teams while supporting global filtering to maintain consistency and clarity.
The platform also now offers fully customizable data tables, giving users the ability to select which columns appear in their target lists. Multiple saved views can be created for various scenarios, and columns can be resized to optimize individual workflows. Pre-configured options include summary views, scan schedules, tag management, and technical detail displays.
Another major improvement comes in the form of enhanced auto-tagging capabilities. Users now have granular control over asset organization with three distinct tagging modes: sync, add, or remove. This refined automation system delivers better performance and predictability, helping ensure consistent and accurate asset categorization.
These updates arrive at a time when many organizations face challenges related to tool sprawl and inefficient workflows, which can delay responses to critical security incidents. Nick Merritt, VP of Security at Halo Security, emphasized that “security teams shouldn’t have to struggle with their tools to access vital information. These customization options let customers structure their data in a way that aligns with their thinking and take command of how they engage with the security intelligence we provide.”
All new features are available immediately to existing Halo Security customers at no extra charge. Custom dashboard creation is accessible through user accounts, with shared configurations automatically syncing across team members for seamless collaboration.
