Apple has officially expanded its senior leadership team, adding three new executive profiles to its corporate website. This move highlights the company’s ongoing strategic focus on strengthening its core legal, product design, and software user experience functions. The updates also include a notable title change for a long-serving executive, reflecting a broader internal realignment of responsibilities.
Jennifer Newstead now serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, placing her at the helm of Apple’s global legal affairs. She officially stepped into this critical role on March 1st, taking over from Katherine Adams, who had been the company’s top lawyer since 2017. Before her arrival at Apple, Newstead spent six years as the chief legal officer at Meta, bringing extensive experience in navigating the complex legal landscapes of the technology sector.
Leading the vision for Apple’s physical products is Molly Anderson, who holds the position of Vice President of Industrial Design. Her team bears responsibility for the iconic design of every Apple hardware product, its accessories, and even the packaging that customers experience. Anderson originally joined the company in 2014 and has been guiding the Industrial Design team since 2024, though the precise date of her official promotion to vice president was not disclosed. She follows in the footsteps of legendary designers like Jony Ive and his immediate successor, Evans Hankey.
On the software side, Steve Lemay has been named Vice President of Human Interface Design. A company veteran who first joined Apple in 1999, Lemay now leads the team that crafts the look, feel, and interaction models for software across all Apple platforms, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS. He assumes the role previously held by Alan Dye, who departed Apple at the end of last year to lead design efforts for Meta’s Reality Labs division.
In addition to these new appointments, Apple updated the profile of Eddy Cue, a well-known figure within the company. His title is now Senior Vice President of Services and Health, accompanied by a new professional headshot. This formal title change acknowledges Cue’s expanded oversight, which includes Apple’s health and fitness teams, a responsibility he gained following the retirement of former Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams last year. Cue is one of Apple’s most seasoned leaders, having been with the company since 1989.
