Abu Dhabi is preparing to unveil fifty-five groundbreaking artificial intelligence projects at Gitex Global 2025, demonstrating how AI technologies are already improving daily life for millions of residents and visitors. The emirate’s participation, themed “AI-Native by Design, Community-Driven by Purpose,” highlights its ambitious strategy to become the world’s first AI-native government. Spearheaded by the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion will feature contributions from over thirty government and academic bodies, creating an interactive experience for attendees at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17.
This marks the fourteenth consecutive year Abu Dhabi has taken part in Gitex, reinforcing its commitment to the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025–2027. The featured AI projects are designed to deliver tangible benefits across various sectors. Notable innovations include TAMM 4.0, the latest evolution of the cross-government super app; the Abu Dhabi Police’s Smart Investigator and AI Supervisor tools; and the Department of Culture and Tourism’s Smart Hotel Check-In, which uses facial recognition to streamline the guest arrival process.
His Excellency Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of DGE, emphasized that Abu Dhabi is fundamentally redesigning public services around citizen needs. “Our AI-native approach means building a government that is intuitive, personalized, and responsive. Through unified collaboration, we are creating a digital future where innovation serves a clear purpose, empowering communities and preparing for tomorrow,” he stated. Many of the showcased projects will be displayed publicly for the first time. Visitors can also engage with six distinct virtual reality personas, illustrating how these technologies impact different community members such as students, entrepreneurs, working parents, tourists, investors, and government staff.
Among the highlighted services is the Personal AI Recruitment Companion, which simplifies government hiring processes. Other innovations include QMobility’s barrier-free, AI-driven parking pilot; Rayah, a mobile application from the Department of Education and Knowledge that lets parents monitor their children’s academic progress; and Sahatna’s integrated health services, which will be available through four new TAMM Spaces. His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Askar, Director General of TAMM, reflected on the platform’s rapid expansion, noting, “Over the past year, TAMM has grown to include more than 1,100 services, thanks to strong collaboration among over ninety public and private partners. TAMM 4.0 represents our most ambitious step yet, smarter, more seamless, and powered by AI.”
The emirate’s progress is supported by more than eighty strategic partnerships with global technology leaders, accelerating Abu Dhabi’s transformation into an AI-native government. His Excellency Wesam Lootah, Director General at DGE, reported that nearly four hundred AI solutions have been evaluated, with over one hundred of the most effective already deployed. “These initiatives are not just about improving efficiency. They enable our workforce to tackle complex issues, predict public needs, and deliver greater societal value as we advance toward our 2027 vision,” he explained.
Through its presence at Gitex Global 2025, Abu Dhabi aims to set a new global standard for digital governance. By presenting cutting-edge AI projects, launching next-generation public services, and expanding international collaborations, the emirate is showcasing a future-ready government model that is both intelligent and deeply human-centered.
