The Getac S510AD rugged laptop integrates AMD Ryzen AI processing technology to deliver powerful edge-AI capabilities directly in demanding field and industrial settings. This device meets Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC standards, offering professionals in sectors like automotive, utilities, and public safety a tool that simplifies complex on-device tasks while boosting productivity.
Engineered with an AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 or 7 350 processor, AMD Radeon 800M graphics, and an AMD XDNA 2 neural processing unit, the S510AD achieves up to 50 NPU TOPS for smooth multitasking and high-quality visuals without relying on cloud connectivity. It supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and two terabytes of PCIe NVMe storage, and includes Windows Hello face authentication to ensure data remains secure.
A 15.6-inch full HD display with 1,000 nits brightness ensures readability even in direct sunlight, while the responsive touchpad and optional multitouch screen function reliably with gloves or in wet conditions. For extended operation, an optional dual hot-swappable battery setup helps minimize interruptions during long shifts. Standard Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are included, with options for 4G-LTE, 5G Sub-6, dual SIM, and dedicated GPS to maintain connectivity in remote locations.
Built to endure harsh environments, the S510AD is certified to MIL-STD-810H and IP53 standards, withstanding drops from up to 0.9 meters and operating in temperatures from -29°C to 63°C. Its chassis incorporates SORPLAS, a sustainable plastic from Sony that uses up to 99% recycled materials. Over 45% of the chassis consists of post-consumer recycled content, reducing energy consumption, carbon emissions, and electronic waste without sacrificing durability.
In the automotive industry, the S510AD allows mechanics to run real-time diagnostics and stream multiple camera feeds, speeding up repairs. Manufacturing teams use its on-device AI for predictive maintenance and automated quality control, cutting unplanned downtime. Utility crews benefit from reliable performance and hot-swappable batteries during inspections in isolated areas, while field service technicians leverage robust connectivity for fast data transfers. Public safety personnel gain enhanced situational awareness through live video and data analysis, with security features protecting sensitive information. Defense units rely on secure offline AI analysis, sunlight-readable mapping, and continuous operation via hot-swappable batteries, even in disconnected scenarios.
According to James Hwang, President of Getac Technology Corporation, the S510AD expands the company’s AI-rugged portfolio by combining AMD’s latest AI technology with the rugged reliability and sustainability that customers expect. This enables organizations to accelerate AI adoption directly in the field. The S510AD will become available in November.
