Exabeam has introduced a first-of-its-kind customizable CISO benchmarking tool within its Nova platform, enabling security leaders to anonymously measure their security posture against comparable organizations. This new feature allows for tailored comparisons based on industry, geographic region, and company size, providing actionable insights that help teams allocate resources more effectively, validate security investments, and align day-to-day operations with long-term strategic objectives.

Integrated into the Exabeam Nova Advisor Agent through the Outcomes Navigator, the benchmarking tool evaluates threat detection telemetry and system configurations to measure coverage of MITRE ATT&CK techniques and real-world security use cases. It then generates continuously updated maturity scores by comparing an organization’s performance with that of its peers. Security operations center (SOC) teams can leverage these insights to pinpoint coverage gaps, prioritize improvements in detection capabilities, and prepare data-driven reports for leadership.

Steve Wilson, Chief AI and Product Officer at Exabeam, emphasized the shift from reactive to proactive security, stating, “Security teams are done playing defence. We’re giving them the tools to go on offense. Benchmarking is now operational data that drives smarter decisions, tighter attack coverage, and faster response times. In just six months, we’ve moved from launch to delivering capabilities others are still sketching on whiteboards.”

CEO Chris O’Malley added, “Our focus is on innovation that delivers measurable customer value. We’re solving the toughest challenges security leaders face. By embedding benchmarking directly into Exabeam Nova, we empower customers to lead with data, achieve strategic outcomes, and operate with clarity and confidence. This marks a defining moment for Exabeam and for security operations committed to continuous improvement.”

This quarter’s platform update also introduces business-aware risk scoring, which helps SOC teams prioritize threats according to their potential impact on the organization. By customizing detection rule severity levels, such as low, medium, high, or critical, security personnel can reduce alert fatigue, enhance triage accuracy, and focus analyst efforts where they are most needed.

Recent collaborations with Cribl and DataBahn help organizations streamline telemetry ingestion, cut search and storage expenses, and maintain full-fidelity data for detection and compliance purposes. At the same time, Exabeam has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud, integrating agent behavior analytics to detect insider threats targeting AI agents. This leverages telemetry from Google Agentspace and Google Cloud Model Armor, enabling organizations to monitor digital insiders and defend against emerging hybrid threats. Together, these enhancements fortify the New-Scale Security Operations Platform with integrated, forward-looking capabilities.
