T-Mobile’s New Price Lock Excludes Taxes and Fees: What You Need to Know

T-Mobile has introduced a new long-term price guarantee, though customers may be wary given past experiences. Previously, T-Mobile did not uphold a lifetime price lock, leading to ongoing legal battles with affected users. Additionally, the recent plans under this new guarantee can still include fees that may increase over time.

Today, T-Mobile unveiled plans offering increased hotspot data and a five-year price guarantee. The company assures that customers on T-Mobile and Metro plans won’t see changes in their talk, text, and data prices for five years from the sign-up date. These guarantees are available on the “Experience More” and “Experience Beyond” plans, starting at $85 and $100 per line with autopay, which requires payment through debit or bank accounts.

The price lock extends to four new Metro by T-Mobile plans that will be available starting Thursday. This announcement follows Verizon’s recent introduction of a three-year price lock.

However, it’s important to note that this price guarantee does not cover taxes and fees, which can still fluctuate.
