The AI-powered design platform Picsart is launching a new program that allows all creators to earn money directly from their work. This initiative, called Earn with Picsart, is open to everyone without any invitation requirements or minimum follower thresholds, marking a significant shift for the company from a creative tool to a revenue-generating platform for its global community.

Once enrolled, creators gain access to a dashboard featuring various creative campaigns and prompts. They use Picsart’s tools to produce original content for a specific challenge, such as generating animated characters with the AI conversational assistant Picsart Aura, and then share that work on their own social channels. The company emphasizes that creative effort is essential; simply posting AI-generated images without a thoughtful approach will not yield significant engagement or income. After posting, creators submit a short form with the content’s URL, ensure proper tagging, and describe their creative process within Picsart.

Earnings are calculated based on a combination of performance metrics including views, comments, shares, and overall reach. Creators can monitor their accrued revenue on the dashboard and withdraw funds via Stripe. This model is designed to reward creative output and performance rather than sheer audience size. The program supports various content formats, offering earning opportunities for those making tutorials, aesthetic edits, or short-form videos.

Picsart founder and CEO Hovhannes Avoyan framed the launch as a solution to a persistent issue in the digital landscape. “We’ve always believed that creativity should be for everyone, and now, so should the rewards,” Avoyan stated. “The creator economy has a structural problem: platforms have never truly committed to compensating everyday creators. Earn with Picsart is our commitment to the millions who have made this community what it is. It’s open, structured, and straightforward – show up, make things, and if your content performs, you get paid.”

This move into creator monetization follows the company’s recent announcement of an AI agent marketplace, where users can access specialized assistants for tasks like resizing social content or editing product photos. Founded in 2011, Picsart boasts over 130 million users worldwide and achieved unicorn status during the 2021 creator economy surge. The new program represents a strategic effort to both attract and retain creators by offering a direct path to monetization within its ecosystem.
