This new addition draws heavy inspiration from the popular Marvel Zombies storyline, plunging players into chaotic battles against relentless undead forces.
Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo detailed the mode in a recent video announcement. He confirmed that participants will select from a roster including Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff, and The Punisher to confront endless waves of zombies. The primary objective involves surviving the onslaught, facing off against formidable bosses like Zombie Namor and The Queen of the Dead, and ultimately preventing the world from succumbing to a full-scale zombie apocalypse.
Koo further elaborated on the unique combat mechanics tailored for each hero. Players can charge through zombie masses as Jeff, utilize Blade’s ricocheting Moon Blades for crowd control, harness Thor’s persistent Awakened state to electrocute enemies, or unleash Magik’s unlimited Darkchild form for devastating area attacks. These specialized abilities are designed to let fans demonstrate their combat prowess against both swarming zombies and challenging boss encounters.
